INTRODUCTION

List of issues fixed

This hotfix package fixes the following issues.

  • 909564 All task-level enterprise outline codes are collapsed when you use Project Data Service to add a new outline code in Project 2003

  • 909913 Project Web Access cannot synchronize a user when you add a new resource from Active Directory in Project Professional 2003

This hotfix package fixes the following issues that were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

  • When you use Microsoft Office Project Professional 2003 to connect to Microsoft Project Server 2003 from a client computer, you receive an error message that is similar to the following error message:

The URL specified is not valid or is not a Project server. Internet Explorer is set to work off-line. The server could not process your request. An internal server error occurred. Contact your server administrator.

  • When you use the Sync to Protected Actuals feature, the %Complete field for a task is changed from 100% to 0%.
  • You use the Sync to Protected Actuals feature. A resource is assigned 0 hours of work to complete a task that has 0 hours of remaining work scheduled. When you use the feature, the resource has 1 hour of remaining work scheduled for the resource to complete the task.
  • You define a customized enterprise view that will be used as a default view in Project Professional 2003. After you do this, the customized enterprise view is unavailable when the plan is saved locally and when you work in offline mode.
  • When you try to connect to Project Server 2003 by using Project Professional 2003, the logon page is blank.
  • You connect to Project Server 2003 by using Project Professional 2003. When you then click Open on the File menu, the Open dialog box does not sort the Outline Code values in alphabetical order as expected. Instead, the Outline Code values are listed in the order in which they were created.
  • When you change the lag time of a task in the Critical Path of a project, the Late Start and Late Finish times for all predecessor tasks are not calculated as expected.
  • You open an enterprise project in Project Professional 2003 when you are connected to a computer that is running Microsoft Office Project Server 2003 Service Pack 2 (SP2). When you do this, the enterprise project takes longer to open than it did before you installed Project Server 2003 SP2.
  • After you install Project 2003 SP2, Project 2003 may unexpectedly stop (crash) when you try to open a project.
  • When you insert a project plan into a master project plan, the values do not appear in the Enterprise Project Outline Code column of the inserted project.
