SUMMARY
This article lists the Microsoft COM+ bugs that are fixed in Microsoft Windows 2000 Post-Service Pack 4 (SP4) COM+ 1.0 Hotfix Rollup Package 33. Each hotfix rollup package contains all the fixes that were released in the previous Windows 2000 COM+ 1.0 hotfix rollup packages.

The following issue is fixed in this hotfix rollup package:
892349 FIX: An access violation occurs in Comsvcs.dll when you run a COM+ application on a Windows 2000-based computer
898918 Information about transaction tracing and CM error tracing in MSDTC on a Windows 2000-based computer
The following issues are fixed in this hotfix package. These issues were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article.
- This hotfix adds the ability to perform Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator (MSDTC) transaction tracing in Microsoft Windows 2000.
An access violation (C0000005) may occur in MSDTC when the available memory resources on the computer are limited. When this problem occurs, the call stack contains the following reference:
comsvcs!AptReference::DelQueueRef
- You may experience slow performance in COM+ applications after you apply the cumulative update that is described in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS04-012. - An access violation (C0000005) may occur in the MSDTC service when it runs out of log space. Typically, this problem occurs on a heavily loaded server that is running Microsoft BizTalk Adapter for MQSeries.
- An access violation may occur in the MSDTC service when it is running under low memory conditions. Typically, this problem occurs on a heavily loaded server that is running Microsoft BizTalk Adapter for MQSeries.
