SYMPTOMS

Assume a situation where you are running MAPI-based programs on computers that have one of the following programs installed:

  • Microsoft Exchange Server 2003
  • Exchange Server 2003 System Manager

In this situation, the MAPI-based programs may stop responding if the MAPI-based programs are under a heavy load.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next service pack that contains this hotfix.

Because of file dependencies, this hotfix requires Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 1 (SP1).
