SYMPTOMS

When you try to add or to delete a printer port in Microsoft Windows 2000, you receive an access violation error message.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if you try to add or to delete a printer port under conditions of high stress. The problem occurs when the port list is modified by two threads at the same time.
