SYMPTOMS

When you try to perform one of the following actions, you receive an error message:

  • You try to access the properties of a folder in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server or Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 by using a custom MAPI-based application.
  • You try to access the properties or the methods of a folder in Exchange 2000 or Exchange 2003 by using a custom CDO 1.2.1-based application.

The following is the error message that you receive:

Restart requirement

You do not have to restart your computer after you apply this hotfix. However, the Microsoft Exchange System Attendant service and all dependent services will be restarted.
