SUMMARY

This article lists the Microsoft .NET Framework issues that are fixed in the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Post-Service Pack 1 XML Web services and XML Messaging hotfix rollup package 8. Each package contains all the fixes that were released in the previous .NET Framework hotfix rollup packages.

Issues that are fixed in this hotfix rollup package

The following issues are fixed in this hotfix rollup package:

  • 839588 FIX: You receive a System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException when you call the Read method from an XmlTextReader class in ASP.NET

  • 842832 FIX: You receive an InvalidOperationException exception when you validate data against complex schema that include the xs:union type in the .NET Framework 1.1

  • 870722 FIX: Duplicate import schema may cause the XML schema compilation to fail

  • 872800 FIX: Web service clients regenerate serialization assemblies every time that the application runs

  • 884021 FIX: You may experience the System.StackOverflowException error when you open an XML document that contains a deeply nested XML document in the .NET Framework 1.1 and in the .NET Framework 1.0

  • 887191 FIX: You may receive error messages when you try to filter an ADO recordset that has an AS/400 keyed physical file in Host Integration Server 2000 and in Host Integration Server 2000 Service Pack 1

    Note The error that is described in Microsoft Knowledge Base article 887191 can occur in the .NET Framework even when you do not use Microsoft Host Integration Server 2000.
