MORE INFORMATION

Some Microsoft Windows CE-based devices use the Windows CE 3.0 operating system, but are not compatible with programs that are designed for the Pocket PC operating system. For information about the operating system that is installed on your Windows CE device, contact your Windows CE device manufacturer.

This problem may occur with other programs that are designed for the Pocket PC 2002 operating system. Windows CE devices such as the Casio BE-300 are based on the Windows CE 3.0 operating system, but are not compatible with programs that are designed for the Pocket PC. For example, the BE-300 is compatible only with programs that are designed for the Casio Pocket Manager operating system.

You may be able to determine if a device is compatible with programs that are designed for the Pocket PC operating system by verifying the operating system build number. To do this, follow these steps on the Windows CE device:

  1. Tap Start, and then tap Settings.
  2. On the System tab, tap About.
  3. Under About, verify the operating system build number.

If the build number is a five digit number, the device is compatible with programs that are designed for the Pocket PC 2002 operating system. If the build number is a four digit number, the device is not compatible with programs that are designed for the Pocket PC 2002 operating system.
