SYMPTOMS
When you make repetitive calls to the WinHttpGetProxyForUrl function, the function may fail with the following error code:
ERROR_WINHTTP_BAD_AUTO_PROXY_SCRIPT
CAUSE
The error message that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section of this article occurs because a Thread Local Storage leak occurs in Jscript.dll. Typically, this error occurs after the five hundred thirty-eighth call to the function.

STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, call the CoInitialize function and the CoUninitialize function in the code.
