APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Host Integration Server 2000 Service Pack 1

SYMPTOMS

A session level interface (SLI) application issues an SLI_SEND verb. The SLI_SEND verb is issued to send a systems network architecture (SNA) command, such as a ready to receive (RTR) command. After the verb finishes, you receive the following error message:

Primary_rc = LUA_PARAMETER_CHECK (0x0001)
Secondary_rc = LUA_REQUIRED_FIELD_MISSING (0x00000019)

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the SLI library incorrectly resets the value of the lua_data_length parameter to 0. This behavior occurs when a verb sends an SNA command on a non-function management data (FMD) message flow.

RESOLUTION
