SYMPTOMS

When you start Microsoft Streets & Trips 2002 or Microsoft Streets and Trips 2008, the computer may unexpectedly restart.

CAUSE

This issue may occur if there is a conflict with the current video driver.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, contact your video card manufacturer for the latest video driver.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue with your current video driver, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Display.
  3. On the Settings tab, click Advanced.
  4. On the Troubleshooting tab, move the Hardware accelerator tab to None.
  5. Click OK, and then click OK.

To identify the name and the manufacturer of your video hardware, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, click Run, type dxdiag, in the Open box, and then click OK.
  2. Click the Display tab.
  3. Under Device, look for Name and Manufacturer.
  4. Click Exit.
