SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Project Web Access (PWA) when you click Open in Microsoft Project, you receive the following error message:
When you click OK, the project plan is inserted in a new project instead of opening in Microsoft Project.
CAUSE
This problem may occur after you install the fixes that are described in the following articles in the Microsoft Knowledge Base.

RESOLUTION
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Project 2002 service pack that contains this hotfix.
