SUMMARY

Microsoft has released the Microsoft Identity Integration Feature Pack's (IIFP) product's second cumulative update build, build 1012. This article discusses the issues that the update fixes, the product enhancements that the update includes, and how to obtain the update.

MORE INFORMATION

This update fixes the following issues:

  • When you create an Active Directory Global Address List (GAL) management agent, you must click the Target button on the Configure GAL screen to set a destination container. If you set the destination container to an organizational unit (OU) whose name contains an "&" character, such as "OU=Contacts & Stuff", you cannot create the management agent.
  • You may create an Active Directory Global Address List (GAL) management agent and try to use a distinguished name (DN) with an "&" character, such as "OU=Contacts & Stuff,DC=Microsoft,DC=com", to set the destination container for the contacts. When you do so, you can finish the Management agent configuration, but when you click the Finish button, nothing happens, and you cannot create the management agent.
  • When you try to modify an Active Directory Global Address List (GAL) management agent by changing the Distinguished Name (DN) of the destination container to a DN that contains an "&" character, such as "OU=Contacts & Stuff,DC=Microsoft,DC=com", you may receive the following error message after you click the OK button in the Management Agent Designer properties dialog box:

An unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will be shut down immediately.

An error occurred while parsing EntityName. Line X, position Y.

where X and Y are numeric values.
