SYMPTOMS
When you use Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA) to access an embedded object in an e-mail message, the Exchange 2000 Information Store service (Store.exe) may stop responding.
CAUSE
This problem may occur in situations where the embedded object uses a FlatURLSpace URL, and Exchange 2000 incorrectly processes the string that is contained in the URL.
RESOLUTION
Hotfix Information
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next P1 that contains this hotfix.
