SYMPTOMS
When you try to use Microsoft Windows Media Player to play a DVD after you upgrade to Windows XP, you may receive the following error message:
CAUSE
This issue may occur if the third-party DVD decoder program that is installed on your computer is not compatible with Windows XP.
RESOLUTION
To resolve the issue, contact your computer manufacturer or the manufacturer of the DVD decoder program to inquire about how to upgrade to a version of the program that is compatible with Windows XP.
