SYMPTOMS
When you create a Collaboration Data Objects (CDO) application to read information from a field collection on a Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 public folder, the CDO application works as you expect. However, when this CDO application logs on to an Exchange 2000 computer and tries to access items in an Exchange Server public folder that is replicated to the Exchange 2000 computer, the attempt to access the items in the public folder may be unsuccessful. If the operation is unsuccessful, the CDO application generates the following error message:
Note This problem only occurs only when the CDO application tries to read the property data from the Exchange 2000 public folder store.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because the Exchange 2000 information store incorrectly calculates a string size during a character code page conversion.
