SYMPTOMS
Microsoft Collaboration Data Objects (CDO) for Exchange 2000 uses incorrect start and end dates for 2003 daylight saving time in the (UTC -06:00) Mexico City (and Tegucigalpa) time zone. CDO incorrectly sets the following 2003 start and end dates for daylight saving time:
- Daylight saving time begins at 02:00 on the first Sunday of May.
- Daylight saving time ends at 02:00 on the last Sunday of September.
The correct 2003 start and end dates for daylight saving time in the (UTC -06:00) Mexico City (and Tegucigalpa) time zone are:
- Daylight saving time begins at 02:00 on the first Sunday of April.
- Daylight saving time ends at 02:00 on the last Sunday of October.
CAUSE
This issue occurs because CDO uses code that incorrectly sets the start date to the first Sunday in May and the end date to the last Sunday in September. This issue occurs in builds 6452 to 6457 of CDO for Exchange 2000.
