This Support WebCast session will discuss the concepts for handling ADO.NET concurrency using Microsoft Visual Basic Windows Forms in Visual Studio .NET. It will talk about the types of concurrency control, optimistic concurrency options in Visual Studio .NET, retrieving new data after updating, using Command Builder and Data Adapter Configuration Wizard concurrency options, and handling concurrency exceptions. It will also discuss how to display update errors, process user’s response, and take appropriate action.
This is a Level 400 session that will be presented by Ken Robison. Ken Robison is a Developer Support Professional on the MSXML/C#/Visual Basic Web Database team and has worked for Microsoft since September 1999. He has worked with Visual Studio .NET beginning with the first beta version, and has extensive development experience with both Visual Studio .NET, Visual Basic 6.0, Visual C#, MSXML, and FoxPro. Ken holds an Associate's degree in Electronics, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Programming, and is a Microsoft Certified Solution Developer.
