SYMPTOMS

Exchange 2000 Outlook Web Access (OWA) clients may occasionally receive blank pages from the Exchange 2000 server when a front-end server and back-end server topology is used.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if Exprox.dll tries to use a socket that was closed out by the Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server. When this behavior occurs, the front-end server returns a 503 error that causes a blank page to appear in the OWA client.
