SYMPTOMS
When you remove the Host Integration Server 2000 Administrator Client, you may receive the following error message:
You receive this error only when you remove a Host Integration Server 2000 Administrator Client that was installed without the SNA Manager feature.
Note This problem can also occur when removing a "nodeless" installation of Host Integration Server 2000 that was installed without the SNA Manager feature.
CAUSE
If the SNA Manager feature is not selected during the installation of the Host Integration Server 2000 Administrator Client, the Delnamespace.exe program is not copied to the %SNAROOT%
directory. The Host Integration Server 2000 Administrator Client Windows Installer package (HiAdmin.msi) incorrectly tries to remove Delnamespace.exe, even though it does not exist. This results in the error message described in "Symptoms".
The Host Integration Server 2000 Windows Installer package (HiServer.msi) exhibits the same behavior when removing a "nodeless" install of Host Integration Server 2000 if SNA Manager is not installed.
