SYMPTOMS
When you connect to your Microsoft MN-100 or MN-500 Base Station by using a network cable, you may experience one or more of the following symptoms:
- Your computer loses connectivity with the base station.
- Your computer cannot access Web sites or other Internet resources.
- Your computer cannot connect to resources on your local network.
- Your computer cannot send or receive e-mail messages.
- You receive the following error message:
CAUSE
This symptom may occur if the following conditions exist:
- Your computer has a CNet PRO200WL 10/100 network adapter installed.
- You are using outdated Realtek network drivers.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, download and install updated drivers for your network adapter from Realtek. For information about how to contact Realtek, click the appropriate article number in the following list to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Microsoft recommends that you update your Base Station firmware to the latest version:
- Start the Broadband Network Utility (BNU), and then click Base Station Management Tool on the Tools menu.
- At the Login page, type your user name and password to log on to the Base Station Management tool.
- Point to Management, and then click Upgrade Firmware.
- Make a note of the version and date that is listed under Current Base Station Firmware Version, and then follow the steps that are listed under To upgrade the base station firmware.
