SYMPTOMS
When you try to insert ClipArt into an Office 2000 program, you may receive an error message that is similar to the following:
CAUSE
This issue may occur if the Oleaut32.dll file (version 2.40.4277) and the Olepro32.dll file (version 5.0.4518) are overwritten with different versions of these files.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, extract the Oleaut32.dll file and the Olepro32.dll file from your Windows installation CD-ROM. To do this, use the appropriate method for your operating system.
Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Windows 2000
Use the Windows System File Checker tool to detect and replace damaged or overwritten Windows system files. To do this, follow these steps:
- Insert your Windows installation CD-ROM in your computer's CD-ROM drive or DVD-ROM drive, and then press and hold the SHIFT key as the CD-ROM loads, to turn off Autoplay.
- Click Start, and then click Run.
- In the Run dialog box, type SFC /scannow, and then click OK.
