SUMMARY

To print a solid underline when printing to a NEC P6 or P7 printer, modify the NECP6.PRD file as follows:

1. Convert NECP6.PRD to a text file using the MakePRD utility.

2. Load the converted text file into Word.

3. Search for: byte:144

   byte:144 will read as follows:

   byte:144 mod:3 magic:0 value:0 “^[K”

4. Change the line to read as follows:

   byte:144 mod:6 magic:0 value:0

5. Save the modified driver as a text file and convert it back into a printer driver (PRD) file using the MakePRD utility.
