SUMMARY

The Microsoft Word version 5.5 tutorial (LEARN.EXE) may hang when the Logitech mouse driver, MOUSE.COM version 5.0 or earlier, is installed.

Note: This problem does not occur in Microsoft Word 6.0.

Logitech mouse customers can contact Logitech customer service or the Logitech Bulletin Board to receive an updated MOUSE.COM driver (version 5.01 or later) that corrects this problem. There is no charge for the updated MOUSE.COM driver.

The Microsoft Mouse driver software provided with Word 5.5, MOUSE.SYS version 7.05, should not be used with a Logitech mouse. Using earlier versions of the Logitech mouse utilities CLICK.EXE and MENU.COM (or LOGIMENU.COM) with an updated version of Logitech’s MOUSE.COM or MOUSE.SYS software may cause problems in Word 5.5 and other software applications. Contact Logitech Customer Service for more information about updates for these mouse utilities.
