Summary:

The following is a history of upgrades for Microsoft Works.

Version 1.05 (4/88)

1. Network support was added.

2. Buttons do not close dialog boxes. The following buttons will leave the dialog box on the screen:

   Tabs command (WP): Set, Change, Clear & Clear All Name command (SS): Delete button Charts command (SS): Rename, Delete, Copy Reports command (DB): Rename, Delete, Copy Data format command (chart): Format and Format All Legends command (chart): Create Button Series and data label commands (Chart): Delete

   where WP is word processor, SS is spreadsheet, and DB is database.

3. Change All and Ignore All commands have been added to the spelling checker.

4. Insert/Delete commands (SS/DB) ask between rows & columns.

5. Additional printer support (including PostScript) was added.

6. A monochrome EGA screen driver was added.

3. Multiple overlapping windows were added.

17. Edit Bookmark Name command was added.
18. Fill Series command was added.
19. Sort Rows command was added for spreadsheets.
20. The ability to have multilined fields in the database was added.
21. File backup was improved.
22. File conversion from within Works was added.
23. Built-in macros were included.
24. The ability to have user defined templates was added.
25. The ability to print text and graphics with the same printer driver was added.
26. Print Form Letters command skips blank lines.
27. Graphics modes and more lines per screen capabilities were added.
