SUMMARY
The Window Arrange All command in Word version 5.50 can be used to display open windows in a tile arrangement.
The window that will be displayed in the top or top left corner of the screen (depending on the number of open windows) will always be the window that is active when you choose the Window Arrange All command.
The order in which the other windows are opened dictates the placement of the those windows after the active window (in the top or top left corner). The order that the windows were opened is displayed at the bottom of the Window menu.
MORE INFORMATION
When the active window is the last window listed in the Window menu, Window 1 will be the second window displayed. This method of displaying windows with the Window Arrange All command cannot be changed (see information below). However, because the placement of windows begins with the active window, changing the active window will change the placement of the windows on the screen.
The order that Word 5.50 will display windows with the Window Arrange All command (when the first window displayed under the Window menu is the active window) is as follows:
