Large Scan Images Load; Smaller Images Don't Load

SUMMARY
If you have a scanned image of a smaller size and a scanned image of a larger size, the larger one may load; however, when you try to load the smaller one, a "not enough memory" error may be generated.
Scanned images can be saved as .PCX, .TIF, and .TIF uncompressed files. The .PCX and .TIF are compressed files. When Paintbrush loads these images, it expands the images. Therefore, the file is larger than the actual size specified when it was scanned. The complexity of the smaller image (that is, the colors and tools that were used to create this image) determines whether or not there is memory available to load this image after it is uncompressed.
To illustrate this, imagine a 24K scanned image is loaded into Paintbrush. Paintbrush accepts this image but does not accept a 15K scanned image. The 15K image is probably a more complex drawing than the 24K image, and is significantly larger than 24K when expanded.
