The information below is taken from the PowerPoint version 2.00 Help file for creating a column chart.

To create a column chart:

  1. Enter data into the datasheet, and then make the Chart window active.
  2. Choose Column from the Chart menu.
  3. Select a style from the gallery that appears.
  4. To modify the chosen style, click Options, choose the ones you want, and then click OK.

The types of column charts you can create:

  1. Simple 3-D column chart
  2. 3-D stacked
  3. 3-D stacked, 100 percent
  4. 3-D with value labels
  5. Simple column chart
  6. Stacked columns
  7. Columns overlap
  8. Stacked, 100 percent
