SUMMARY
Microsoft Works for MS-DOS does not allow you to save a file with the filename COM1, COM2, LPT1, LPT2, or LPT3 because these are MS-DOS reserved names. In most cases, Works returns the error message “Cannot write file” followed by the message “File not saved. Disk no longer contains file. Save the file to another disk.” In some cases, Works returns the error message “Disk full.” In Works 2.0 and 3.0, the error message “Filename not valid” appears.
