- Multimedia computer that has a Pentium 120 megahertz (MHz) or higher processor
- Microsoft Windows 98, Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition, Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 2 (SP2), Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, Microsoft Windows XP Professional, or a later version
- 16 megabytes (MB) RAM for Windows 98, Windows Millennium Edition (32 MB of RAM recommended); 32 MB RAM for Windows 2000 SP2 or Windows XP Home Edition or Windows XP Professional
- 90-180 MB of hard-disk space
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 software. This software is required and is included in Works 7.0. Up to an additional 65 MB of hard-disk space may be required for an upgrade to Microsoft Internet Explorer. This installation will not replace your primary browser.
- Quad-speed or faster CD drive
- Super VGA, 16-bit color monitor that supports 800 x 600 resolution or a higher resolution
- Microsoft pointing device, Microsoft IntelliMouse®, or a compatible pointing device
- 14,400 or higher–baud modem
- * Windows CD 2.0 or a later version-based device that contains ActiveSync® 3.0, Palm 3.0, or a later version-compatible device that contains HotSync 2.0 for synchronization of Microsoft Works data required
