Electronic Arts 'Medal of Honor: Allied Assault' Program Causes an Error Message in Windows XP

SYMPTOMS

When you are playing the Electronic Arts 'Medal of Honor: Allied Assault' program, you may receive the following error message:

Medal of Honor: Allied Assault has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

If the error message is still displayed and you want to see the data that the error report contains, click the click here link at the bottom of the message box. You then see error signature information that may be similar to:

CAUSE

This issue may occur if Medal of Honor: Allied Assault version 1.0 or earlier by Electronic Arts is installed. These versions of this program are not completely compatible with the Microsoft software that is listed at the beginning of this article.
