SYMPTOMS

When you close a custom form that you designed by using the default appointment form as the base template in Outlook 2002, you are prompted to save the form or to cancel the operation although you did not make any changes to the custom form.

RESOLUTION

This problem is corrected in Office XP Service Pack 3.

Important Notes

  • Microsoft Windows Installer 2.0 is required for client patch installations that are later than Office XP SP-2. For more information, see the Readme.txt for Microsoft Outlook 2002 SP-2.
  • You can apply the Outlook_admin.msp file to any Microsoft Office XP administrative image that has Office XP SP-2 or later installed, whether or not the administrative installation point has been previously patched.
  • You can apply the Outlook.msp file to a client installation that is already at the Office XP SP-2 level.
