You Cannot Delete Individual Lines in Services for NetWare 5.0 Logon Scripts

SYMPTOMS

If you are using Services for NetWare 5.0 logon scripts, you cannot remove lines from the scripts by using the graphical user interface (GUI). You can add and modify lines by using the GUI, but you cannot remove lines.

WORKAROUND

You can modify a logon script by modifying the logon script file directly. The file is located in the Sysvol\Mail\ObjectID\Login folder. The ObjectID value is listed in under Local Users on the NetWare tab.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Windows 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 4.
