SYMPTOMS
When you try to run the Upgrade Resource tool (CS2002Upgrade.exe) from the command prompt, you may receive an error message that is similar to the following error message:
CAUSE
This problem occurs when a site references global resources if the global resources do not exist. This problem occurs when you try to use any application that calls the SiteConfigReadOnly.Initialize method with a site name.
RESOLUTION
There are several ways to resolve this problem, but Microsoft recommends that you use one of the following two options:
- Run the Commerce Server Enterprise Setup program to reinstall the global resources. For more information about how to do this, see the "Installing and Uninstalling Global Resources" section in the Commerce Server 2002 documentation.
- Use the Pup package to add the required resources to the existing site. For more information about how to do this, see the "Unpacking a Site Using Custom Properties" section in the Commerce Server 2002 documentation.
