SYMPTOMS
After you upgrade to Windows XP from Microsoft Windows 98 or Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me), your Motorola SURFboard SB4100 modem may not work because you can no longer connect to the Internet through your Internet service provider (ISP).
CAUSE
This behavior may occur if the drivers for your modem are not updated during the upgrade to Windows XP.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, install the Windows XP drivers for the Motorola SURFBoard modem from the vendor-supplied CD-ROM. Alternatively, download the drivers from the Motorola Web site by using another modem, or use another computer that has access to the Internet.
