SYMPTOMS

When you are using your Visioneer One Touch 8100 scanner, you may receive the following error message:

An unsupported operation was attempted.

If you view the data that the error report contains, you may receive the following error signature information:

   App Name         App Version  Module Name  Module Version  Offset
   -------------------------------------------------------------------
   onetouchmon.exe  3.1.2.20     mfc42.dll    6.0.8665.0      00005bac

CAUSE

This issue may occur if the Visioneer One Touch 8100 scanner driver you are using is not completely compatible with Windows XP.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, obtain and install an updated driver (XP Logo CD part number 41-0187-300) for your Visioneer One Touch 8100 scanner. For information about how to do so, contact the Visioneer customer service department at 1-888-229-4172, or view the following Visioneer Web site:
