SYMPTOMS
When you use Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA) to open a Contact, the Contact may be displayed with the note form instead of the Contact form.
CAUSE
This problem may occur if:
- You use Exchange 2000 Server Service Pack 2 (SP2). -and-
- The Contact has a custom message class (when the Contact is viewed in Microsoft Outlook, the Contact uses a custom Contact form).
OWA cannot view a custom Contact form. OWA displays the standard Contact form for a custom Contact form. However, in Exchange 2000 Service Pack 2, OWA displays the note form instead of the standard Contact form.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

NOTE: Because of file dependencies, this update requires Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server Service Pack 2.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem and view the Contact in OWA, convert the message class field of the Contacts back to IPM.Contact. However, a side effect of this workaround is that you cannot use a custom Outlook form to view the Contacts in Outlook.
