SYMPTOMS
When you send your print job that contains one or more TrueType font characters to your non-PostScript printer, the TrueType characters may be garbled.
NOTE: As of March 2002, this symptom has only been reported to occur with a double-byte character set (DBCS) TrueType font.
CAUSE
An internal font glyph to Device Independent Bitmap (DIB) rendering subroutine may lose track of the left edge of the character during foreground color bit-block operations.
RESOLUTION
A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to computers that are experiencing this specific problem.

STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
This problem was corrected in Windows 2000.
