SYMPTOMS
After you remove Visual Studio .NET from a computer, Documentation is missing from the Microsoft .NET Framework SDK submenu. (To access this submenu, click Start, point to Programs, and then point to Microsoft .NET Framework SDK.) This only happens if you previously installed the .NET Framework SDK and then installed Visual Studio .NET that included the .NET Framework SDK.
CAUSE
When you remove Visual Studio .NET, Setup does not actually remove the .NET Framework SDK, it only remove the Documentation menu item. Visual Studio .NET Setup removes this menu item because it was installed by Visual Studio Setup.
RESOLUTION
You can still access the .NET Framework SDK documentation. To do so, click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft .NET Framework SDK, and then click Overview. A page appears that includes a link to the documentation.
To replace the Documentation menu item, run a repair installation of the .NET Framework SDK.

Steps to Reproduce Behavior
- Install the .NET Framework SDK.
- Install Visual Studio .NET. During the installation process, select the option to install the .NET Framework SDK Documentation.
- Remove Visual Studio .NET from the computer. Note that Documentation is missing from the Microsoft .NET Framework SDK submenu.
