Article ID: 310982

Article Last Modified on 10/21/2002

APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Commerce Server 2000 Standard Edition

This article was previously published under Q310982

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Web Log Import Data Transformation Server (DTS) Task to import logs, the import returns all files that contain "*ex$yy$mm$dd.log" in the file name (where "$yy$mm$dd" represents a valid date).

For example, if you have two .log files named Ex011001.log and Test_ex011002.log, you expect the import to return Ex011001.log. However, the import returns all files.

CAUSE

The Web Log Import DTS Task imports logs with file names that contain *ex$yy$mm$dd.log. However, if you select the Import all logs since last import option and then import logs, the Web Log Import DTS Task imports more files than expected. This generates erroneous reports.
