Import Process Stops Responding When You Attempt to Import an Invalid CSV Catalog

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to import an invalid CSV catalog into Commerce Server 2000, the import process may stop responding. In this example, an invalid CSV catalog can be defined as follows:

  • Data in the CSV does not match the column definitions that are defined.
  • The property definitions that are specified by the catalog may not match the properties that are defined in the CSV for a product or products.


RESOLUTION

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Commerce Server 2000. This problem was first corrected in Commerce Server 2000 Service Pack 1.
