MORE INFORMATION

A secondary database can be removed from log shipping setup from the Database Properties window in Enterprise Manager on the secondary database (as described in the "Steps to Reproduce Behavior" section), or from the Log Shipping tab for the database maintenance plan on the primary server (as described in the "Workaround" section).

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

  1. Create a database called "Dave'sDB" on the primary server.
  2. Set up log shipping on Dave'sDB to a secondary server by choosing the database to be in "Standby Mode".
  3. On the secondary server, right-click the database in standby mode and click Database Properties. Click the Log Shipping Details button, and then click the Remove Log Shipping button.
