More Information:

Setup Options Some of the questions that SETUP asks have to do with the operating environment (hard disk or dual floppy), memory model(s), and floating-point method(s) that you plan to use. These subjects are explained in the QuickC Programmer’s Guide. If you are installing on a floppy-based system, SETUP only does the library builds since the Work Disk can be used as is. Only if you choose to install on a hard disk are all requested files copied to the disk. If you are installing on a hard disk, SETUP gives you the option to copy a patch that eliminates a bug with floating-point exceptions in IBM PC-DOS 3.2. This patch is explained in the file 320.DOC, which is included in this release. There is also a patch for MS-DOS 3.20. This is explained in the file 87.DOC. If you are installing on a hard disk, SETUP asks whether it should copy all of the documentation (.DOC) files in this release onto your hard disk. It is recommended that you do so, since these files contain important information about this release. Before installing this product on a hard-disk system, you should make sure that your system has enough free space. See the article “Disk-Space Requirements” for more information about how much free disk space is required for various configurations.
