SUMMARY

This article describes how to manually start Usage Analysis processing on a Microsoft Internet Information Services Web server.

MORE INFORMATION

Usage Analysis processing is typically scheduled through SharePoint Team Services Site Administration or FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions. The default timer setting is weekly. As the Web server administrator, if you want to force this processing without changing the default or your custom settings, you can do this from a command line. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, point to Run, and then type cmd in the Open box. Click OK.
  2. At the command prompt, type cd\ and then press ENTER.
  3. Type cd C:\Program Files\common files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\50\bin, and then press ENTER. (This path assumes that the FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions are installed in the default directory. Change the path according to your particular installation.)
  4. Type owsadm.exe -o usage, and then press ENTER.

Usage Analysis now runs.
