SYMPTOMS
Nonmaskable interrupt (NMI) may not be recognized on Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) multiprocessor systems.
CAUSE
This problem can occur if the processors are not installed contiguously on the CPU slots for the multiprocessor system.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
