Cannot Copy Files from Windows Media Player 7 to an S3 Rio 600 Device

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to transfer audio files from Windows Media Player 7 to an S3 Rio 600 device, the files are not copied to the device.

CAUSE

This issue occurs if the drivers for the S3 Rio 600 device have not been updated to properly interface with Windows Media Player 7.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, download and install rio600_wmp7_1007.exe from the following S3 Web site to obtain the updated drivers:

Windows Media Player 7 does not recognize songs on the S3 Rio 600 device that have been downloaded by RioPort Audio Manager or SoundJam.

If you have songs on the S3 Rio 600 device before you connect the device to Windows Media Player, you may notice that the device does not have any available memory, and the songs are not listed in the contents. However, you are still able to play the songs.
