SUMMARY
Windows Media Player 7 and 7.1 do not have the option to open a player for more than one multimedia item at a time. This behavior is by design.
In Windows Media Player 6.4, you could configure the player to open a separate player window for each multimedia item for which Windows Media Player 6.4 was the default player.
To enable the opening of multiple Windows Media Players, you can set Windows Media Player 6.4 as the default player for multimedia, and configure it to open a new player when you select additional media.
