SUMMARY

This article provides a description of the Adaptec Plugin in Windows Media Player 7 and 7.1. Note that this feature is only available in Windows Media Player 7 (build 7.00.1954 and later). You can use the Adaptec Plugin for Windows Media Player 7 or 7.1 to create (burn) playlists with supported files from Windows Media Player 7 or 7.1 to CD-R or CD-RW media.

MORE INFORMATION

The Adaptec Plugin in Windows Media Player 7 and later automatically converts the files you select to .cda format so you can playback the CD-R or CD-RW media on standard audio CD players.

NOTE: Remember that you may be unable to play some CDs in all of the different CD audio players. This is dependant on the media you used, the speed at which the CD was recorded, the hardware that was used to record the files, and the CD audio device. To create (burn) an audio CD from a playlist:

  1. Create a playlist in Windows Media Player 7, or if you have already made one, skip to the next step.
  2. Start Windows Media Player 7.
  3. On the File menu, click Copy to CD.
  4. Click the playlist you want to copy to CD, and then follow the instructions on the screen to finish creating the CD.

NOTE: Under most conditions, you may obtain better results by using CD-R media instead of CD-RW media when you create an audio CD. Also, the Adaptec Plugin in Windows Media Player 7 is limited to 2x recording speed.
