SYMPTOMS

When you install a Microtek ScanMaker E6 or ScanMaker X6 scanner on a SCSI interface in Windows Millennium Edition (Me), the scanner may be incorrectly identified in Device Manager. For example, the Microtek Scanmaker E6 may be displayed as "scanner 600" and the Microtek ScanMaker X6 may be displayed as "scanner 636a4".

Either Microtek scanner may still work correctly.
