SYMPTOMS
When you upgrade to Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me) on a Microsoft Windows 95-based or Windows 98-based computer with Timbuktu Pro 32 version 3.0 installed, you may receive the following error message after Setup restarts the computer:
When you click OK, Windows Me Setup continues without any errors and Timbuktu Pro 32 works without any error message. However, if you do not click OK shortly after the error message appears, the computer may stop responding (hang) and you may receive the following error message:
CAUSE
This issue can occur if the Timbuktu Pro 32 Service is enabled when you install Windows Me.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, turn off the Timbuktu Pro 32 Service before you start Windows Me Setup, and then turn it on again after Setup has finished.

To turn off the Timbuktu Pro 32 Service and then turn it on again, follow these steps:
- Start the Timbuktu Pro 32 program, click Setup, type your password if you are prompted, and then click OK.
- Click to clear the Start Timbuktu as a Service check box, click OK, and then quit the Timbuktu Pro 32 program.
- Install Windows Me.
- Restart the Timbuktu Pro 32 program, click Setup, type your password if you are prompted, and then click OK.NOTE: The icon for the Timbuktu Pro 32 program may not appear in the system tray after Setup has finished. To start the Timbuktu Pro 32 program, double-click the Tb2pro.exe file in the C:\Program Files\Timbuktu Pro folder, right-click the Timbuktu Pro 32 icon in the system tray, and then click Open to start the Timbuktu Pro 32 program.
- Click to select the Start Timbuktu as a Service check box, and then click OK.
