SYMPTOMS
When you close a document, Word may save it automatically without displaying a prompt to save your changes. Typically documents saved this way are saved as Document1, Document2, and so on.
CAUSE
This problem can be caused by a Word macro virus.
NOTE: Microsoft Word does not have a feature that automatically saves your document.
